Local government jurisdictions in either of the first two columns of these listings are not in compliance with state reporting requirements and are barred from receiving state-appropriated funds from the Department of Community Affairs until the specified report is received. Local governments listed in the last two columns are members of one or more authorities that are not in compliance with state reporting requirements. However, local governments are not directly responsible for the compliance of authorities listed under the local government names.

Column three lists local governments that are imposing a Hotel-Motel Tax under an authorization of O.C.G.A. 48-13-51 AND are not in compliance with the annual reporting requirements of O.C.G.A. 48-13-56. Local governments that are noncompliant could have their authority to impose or collect the tax revoked.

Local government authorities that have failed to register (fourth column) with the Department for the current calendar year are prohibited under state law from incurring any debt or credit obligation until their registration is updated. However, they are not barred from receiving state appropriated funds from the Department. To access a directory of registered authorities click here.

Local government authorities that are delinquent in submitting the Report of Authority Finances (last column) are barred from receiving state-appropriated funds from the Department of Community Affairs until the report is received. To determine if an authority is in a noncompliant status with either the registration requirement or the Report of Authority Finances, review the applicable list of affiliated local government jurisdictions (local government jurisdictions that are within the service area of the authority) and click on one of these the applicable local government jurisdictions.
