RDC Contract Review, Fiscal Year 2006
This
RDC contract review by the Office of Decision Support Systems includes elements
in the ‘Data’ section of the Coordinated
Planning Work Program (CPWP) contract. Please note that our contracts
generally require that all DCA-funded projects involving GIS work, the RDC must
also prepare and deliver GIS metadata to the client local government as well as
to DCA. See Appendix A:1, bottom of page for contract deliverable
schedule and details. DCA Planners should forward maps and/or digital GIS
deliverables to the Office of Decision Support Systems for review.

Q1 = Nothing submitted for
Q2 = See Q1
Q3 = Maps submitted, under review.
Q4 = PROBLEMS: All maps
contain areas of unclassified use (appears to be mostly
Transportation that should be coded as such); Many maps do
not have all the required
items,
i.e., land use description and plan date. City areas in
Map of Chamblee (due Oct 2006, i.e., FY 2007) Future
Development Map does not geographically register with Existing Land Use map. Most maps have no metadata; several maps
(all future LU maps and Hapeville ELU) have ill-defined map
projection information and
cannot be drawn with the other maps.

Q4 = PROBLEMS: Update received on 9-27-2006 and reviewed .
Rules and the
contract
specify that boundaries be
essentially the same as those from Census TIGER/Line; they are
not. The Rules and the
contract specify that transportation be documented in the maps; there
are extensive voids or holes
in the maps that must be edited to be polygons and attributed
as transportation.
