Kolomoki Mounds State Historic Park is home to a number of facilities that are available for public and private use, including a number of shelters, campsites, and group meeting places.

Campsites




Kolomoki Mounds has 43 campsites available for recreation vehicles or tents. These include 25 sites in our Lake Kolomoki Campground and 18 sites in our traditional Tall Pines Campground. All sites have water and electrical hook-ups, a picnic table, a fire ring and a grill. A sanitary dump station is available in both areas. The bath houses have hot showers and laundry facilities available in both campgrounds. There is a limit of 6 persons per campsite. Tents are limited to two per site or one tent with an RV/Pop-up camper. In the Lake Kolomoki Campground, tents must be on the gravel pad to preserve the surrounding areas. Fees for tents, trucks with camper shells, and vans without hookups are $17.00 + Park Pass, while RV's, trailers, trucks with slide-in campers, and vans with hook-ups are $19.00 + Park pass.


Pioneer Camping


We have three Pioneer Camping areas available for groups. Neither area has electricity nor bathroom facilities. Pioneer areas #1 and #3 do have fresh water available, while Pioneer Camping area #2 does not. Both areas have picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Cost is $1.00 per person per night, with a $20.00 minimum. There is no maximum.


Group Shelters


 


Group Shelter #1 at Kolomoki rents for $90.00 per day, and has a capacity of 125 persons. Group Shelter #2 rents for $70.00 a day and has a capacity of 50 persons. Both shelters have heating, stove,refrigerator, and restrooms, and group shelter #2 is air-conditioned. The shelters are available from 10:00 AM to 9:45 PM each day. Guests using the Group Shelters are responsible for purchasing a Park Pass for each vehicle in addition to rental fees for the shelter.


Picnic Shelters




Six picnic shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, or they can be reserved for $30.00 per day for all shelters except shelter #4, which is $40.00 per day since it has restrooms attached. These shelters are available from 10:00 AM to 9:45 PM. Guests using the Picnic Shelters are responsible for purchasing a Park Pass for each vehicle in addition to any rental fees for the shelter.



Camp Hicita



Group Camp Hicita has a capacity of 135 and requires a two night minimum rental and a security deposit. It consists of four sleeping cabins, (with counselor rooms in each) a staff quarters, an infirmary, a commercial kitchen Dining Hall, two craft cabins, an open chapel, a private swimming pool, an ampitheather, a softball field, a basketball goal, and a volleyball net. The fee is $475 a night from the Tuesday after Labor Day to the Thursday before Memorial Day. Rental during the spring and fall seasons is $350 per night.
NOTE: The swimming pool is not available in the off season; however, the Dining Hall with a commercial kitchen is available for a fee of $100.00 per day.


Georgia-Pacific Ampitheater



Ampitheater rental is $40.00 per day for weddings, concerts, recitals, and performances.
