PlanBuilder: Before You
Start
The initial rollout of PlanBuilder is intended to provide
Georgia communities and their planners a simple and convenient way to prepare
and review their Short Term Work Programs (STWP) on-line.
STWP is part of the Implementation Element of the
Comprehensive Plan. All local governments are required to provide updates
to the STWP every five years. STWP updates due in October of this year are
encouraged to use PlanBuilder and the STWP tools to
prepare their STWP for review by DCA. All STWP updates due in
February of 2002 and later will be required to be in PlanBuilder format
on-line.
In order to prepare your STWP update on-line follow these
step-by-step instructions:

Select Plan Name
Select the Name of
the Comprehensive Plan containing the STWP you want to
update.

Navigate to STWP 2nd Update
Using
the TOC Navigator, Click on the plus (+) sign next to Implementation Plan the
Click on STWP 2nd Update.

Launch the STWP Tool
From the
Resource Menu, Select STWP Tool.

Select the County or City
The Name
of the County and the Cities within the County are displayed. Click on
the County or City to update.

Enter Password
You are prompted for
the Password for the County or City you selected. (You may obtain this
password from your DCA
Area Planner). Type in the password and Click on "Enter STWP
Tool"

Follow the Instructions in STWP
Tool
The STWP Tool provides all the instructions you need to
complete your STWP update. The STWP tool also contains a button to allow
you to activate the Report of Accomplishments (ROA) required as part of your
STWP update.
